Rihanna has some interesting priorities. The ‘Where Have You Been’ singer, who’s been ill enough to get hooked up to an IV lately, has finally cut off social media contact with ex Chris Brown. It wasn’t the fact that he beat her until she was bruised and bloody back in ’09 that did the trick, nor was it his heavily photographed romance with current flame Karrueche Tran.
What did it take for Rihanna to leave Breezy’s Twitter be? It was a thinly-veiled diss track.
Brown released a freestyle set to Kanye West and DJ Khaled‘s collaboration ‘Way Too Cold‘ (formerly ‘Theraflu‘). While he never says RiRi’s name in the track, TMZ reports that she unfollowed him hours after the song hit the Web, leading fans to suspect that she thinks the song is about her. And if that’s the case, the picture it paints isn’t pretty, as Brown raps, “Don’t f— with my old b— it’s like a bad fur / Every industry n—- done had her / Shook the tree like a pumpkin just to smash her / B—- is breaking codes, but I’m the password.”
Shortly after her highly visible unfollow, Rihanna tweeted:
” Aw, poor dat #neaux1currrrr “
Shortly thereafter, Brown unfollowed Rihanna as well.
The moves are particularly surprising following Rihanna wishing Brown a public happy birthday tweet on May 5, let alone the controversy the tumultuous two caused when they released their ‘Birthday Cake’ and ‘Turn Up the Music’ remixes. We’re guessing any hope for a public reunion, whether pop or personal, isn’t likely to happen again soon.
