GTA V for PC is delayed until March, Here are the recommended PC specs! (Update: Now up for pre-order)

UPDATE:

GTA V for PC is now up for pre-order, offers neat perks and a bonus game

Rockstar Games has officially opened pre-orders for its upcoming Grand Theft Auto V for PC title. This is due to be released on March 24.

So that’s quite a wait. But if you pre-order GTA V for PC before February 1, you’ll get $1.3 million in-game currency and a free bonus game too.

The currency is spread as follows: $500,000 for GTA V, and the rest for GTA Online. The bonus game will be given to you in the form of a digital download, and you’ll receive the code for this immediately after you pre-order GTA V. The titles you can choose from include GTA IV, Max Payne 3, LA Noire, but also much older games such as GTA III and Manhunt.

If you’re interested in pre-ordering GTA V for PC, know that when you do you’ll be charged a 15% deposit. The remaining amount will be automatically charged when the game gets released, and you’ll receive the activation code for it via email.

Grand Theft Auto V is already available for consoles, but if you’re a PC gamer you’re still in for a wait. Originally the PC version of the game was supposed to come out on January 27, but there’s some bad news today – that release date slipped.

And not by a few days, either. Rockstar Games, maker of the GTA franchise, has officially announced that GTA V for PC will only become available on March 24. So that’s quite the delay, almost two months in fact.

Rockstar says it’s necessary for it to put in some extra testing and polish in order “to make it as good as can be”. The company has released the first screenshots from the PC game, one of which you can see above. For the rest, make sure you hit the Source link.

GTA Online for PC will support up to 30 players and it will launch alongside GTA V for PC, as well as GTA Online Heists. This will be making it to consoles “in the coming weeks ahead of the PC launch”.

Today Rockstar has also given us the list of minimum and recommended PC specs for playing the upcoming GTA V, something you’ve surely been looking forward to if you’re a PC gamer. So, without further ado, here’s what you’ll need in order to play.

GTA 5 Release Date for PS4, Xbox One and PC finally Revealed!

Grand Theft Auto V is set to release on PS4 and Xbox One on November 18 and on January 27 on PC, with a host of changes and improvements in tow.

The news comes after weeks of speculation and proves that a recent leak by a retailer was completely correct. But while it’s exciting to hear that we’ll finally be able to jump back into Los Santos before too long, what’s even more impressive is the improvements Rockstar is saying we’ll be able to see. Alongside new weapons, vehicles and activities, additional wildlife, denser traffic, a new foliage system and enhanced damage and weather effects, the developer is promising much more for those who think they’ve seen all the game has to offer.

“All players who pre-order the game will get $1,000,000 in-game bonus cash to spend across Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online (GTA$500K each for your Story Mode and for your GTA Online in-game bank accounts),” Rockstar writes.

“A host of new, exclusive content also awaits for players returning from the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions including rare versions of classic vehicles to collect from across the Grand Theft Auto series such as the Dukes, the Dodo Seaplane and a faster, more maneuverable Blimp; activities including wildlife photography and new shooting range challenges, new weapons and more.

“Enhancements to Grand Theft Auto Online include an increased player count, with online play now for up to 30 players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. All existing gameplay upgrades and Rockstar-created content released since the launch of Grand Theft Auto Online will also be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with much more to come.”

Grand Theft Auto V launched in early September last year, and we loved it. It made $800 million in a single day, and has since gone on to sell 33 million copies. At E3, it was announced for next-gen consoles and PC.

Grand Theft Auto V Sales Hit $1 Billion in Three Days!

Take-Two announced this morning that Grand Theft Auto V generated more than $1 billion in retail sales during its first three days on sale. “We believe this marks the fastest that any entertainment property, including video games and feature films, has reached this significant milestone,” Take Two noted in its announcement.

“Grand Theft Auto is a cultural phenomenon and Rockstar Games continues to redefine what can be achieved in interactive entertainment,” said Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick. “We are incredibly proud of the extraordinary critical and commercial response to Grand Theft Auto V.”

Earlier this week, Rockstar announced that GTA 5 made $800 million in one day. Analysts previously estimated that the game would earn $1 billion in its first month, but it appears they underestimated just how excited people are to visit Los Santos.

Rockstar details GTA V, shapes up to be the studios biggest game!

Rockstar has revealed some details about its upcoming Grand Theft Auto V blockbuster in the latest issue of Gameinformer magazine.

While details aren’t as thorough as some would like, they are enough to get our mouths watered. For starters, there are going to be three main characters in the game for us to play with.

Yes, Rockstar is betting high with GTA V by putting three protagonists. Using a new game mechanic, you’ll be even able to switch between characters while on a mission, for example. As the lengthy, exclusive 18-page article details, in some cases this’ll be of great importance for some missions.

As for the characters themselves, they are also revealed – Michael, Trevor and Franklin. Michael is a former bank buster in his early 40s giving up his retirement to earn an extra buck. Also in his forties is Trevor, a seasoned criminal and ex-military pilot. Lastly, there’s Franklin, who is in his mid-twenties and is the street hustler of the three.

Rockstar says that Los Santos, the imaginary city where the action is based, is the biggest world the studio has created yet. Additionally, there will be more means of transport than ever including a wider variety of cars, bikes (dirt bikes, road bikes, mountain bikes, BMX bikes), helicopters, planes, ATVs, trucks and even jet skis.

Sounds great, doesn’t it? . On November 14, Rockstar is going to release a new trailer for the game, which should unveil even more aspects about it.

Unfortunately, Rockstar hasn’t mentioned anything about a PC version coming up, which makes me a bit sad. Nevertheless, are you excited how Grand Theft Auto V is shaping up?
