We now have our best look yet at the iPhone 6 until Apple officially launches the device onSeptember 9th. Russia-based YouTuber Rozetked has put together what appears to be a 4.7-inch iPhone 6 (hands on footage of the 5.5-inch model went online this morning) with several of the leaked components that we’ve seen all over the web the last several months. The comparison shows both black and white front plates, along with a space gray rear shell. The video compares the design to the existing iPhone 5s and gives a very close look at the overall design aesthetic. You can find the video along with some more still photos below:

Here’s the new iPhone 6, Coming September 9!?

iPhone 6 (5)The Apple iPhone 6 are starting to pour in frantically as the launch event nears. The latest one clings to the September 9 announcement date instead of the September 19 one and complements the statement with a list of the specs and a ton of pictures of the phone itself and the retail box.

By now we’re tired of repeating this but here goes – take these with a grain of salt as they could be just a clever hoax or a dummy unit or just a pre-production hardware that has differs from the final units.

There are enough clues in the images above to suggest this as just another fake device or phone with Android software made out to mimic Apple’s iOS. For starters the Calendar icon looks fake. Second the hardware looks awfully unpolished with a plastic-looking front panel and a protruding camera lens on the back and the single LED flash.

The source of the images has put forth some specs along with the hardware images. As we went through them we saw nothing new – a 4.7″ display of 960 x 1704 resolution, 2GB of RAM and dual-core 2GHz processor inside a 64-bit Apple A8 chip, 8MP camera with 1080p@60fps video recording, the lot.

The torrent of images and rumors isn’t slowing down, so it’s up to you to choose what to believe until Apple introduces the real thing on stage.

First photo of supposed ‘iPhone 6’ front panel surfaces!

An alleged photo of what appears to be a front panel from Apple’s larger-screen iPhone 6 has surfaced on Chinese microblogging site Weibo

The image appears to show an individual in a factory-type setting holding up an iPhone 5s next to a much larger front panel that contains similar characteristics, including cutouts for a front-facing camera, ambient light sensor, ear speaker, and home button. However, the front panel also features a notably thinner bezel, which is consistent with previous rumors about the iPhone 6’s slimmer design.

While the validity of the image cannot be confirmed, the leak is the latest among a number of others recently. This past weekend, several photos reportedly showed the details on manufacturing molds for the iPhone 6, which was followed by a photo yesterday that hinted at a 4.7-inch display.

Last month, Japanese magazine MacFan published alleged design drawings of what appeared to be 4.7-inch and 5.6-inch iPhone 6 models, with a photo showing cases for the larger iPhone surfacing shortly afterward.

Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 6 later this year, which may ship in two different sizes: 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches. Recent reports have indicated that the smaller 4.7 inch version will ship first in the fall, while the larger version may ship later this year or in early 2015 due to manufacturing challenges.

Along with a larger screen, both models of the next-generation iPhone are rumored to include a new A8 processor, Touch ID fingerprint sensor and an upgraded camera featuring optical image stabilization. A report yesterday from Jefferies analyst Peter Misek also stated that Apple is negotiating with wireless carriers to raise the price of the iPhone 6 by $100.

iPhone 6 rumoured to come in two screen sizes for 2014!

iPhone 6 rumored to come in two screen sizes for 2014

Back in 2012 Apple finally broke tradition and released a new iPhone model with a larger display, but this was still left behind by numerous Android devices that have been growing larger all the time. Now though there are again rumours suggesting that the iPhone 6 is to come in two screen sizes for 2014.

We could be still a few months away yet before we see a new smartphone from Apple unless the company throws a curve ball and returns to revealing new hardware at the annual WWDC event. Now according to some alleged Foxconn insiders that got a little loosed tongued at a New Year’s party Apple is going to release two new iPhone models this year with different screen sizes.

These will see a major jump up with one coming in at 4.7-inches and the other matching the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 at 5.7-inches. There is also a chance the new iPhone’s will feature an iris scanner that is rumoured to also be featured in the Samsung Galaxy S5.

Now obviously this rumour has to be taken with a huge pinch of salt but this is not the first time we have heard screen sizes like this for an upcoming iPhone model, as both of these sizes were mentioned back in the summer of 2013 for the iPhone 6.

Apple CEO Time Cook has recently promised that the company has big plans for this year so whether that was a subtle hint for a supersized new iPhone remains to be seen, and it’s open to debate whether many iPhone fans would want to a handset quite so large.

Would you like to see an iPhone this big?
