NRJ Music Awards 2013: Taylor Swift leads the glamour ahead of rumored Harry Styles reunion !

It could be one of the most awkward moments in a pop star’s personal life – running in to your recent ex boyfriend at a highly publicised awards show.

But one thing’s for sure Taylor Swift wasn’t going to arrive quietly at the NRJ Music Awards in France on Saturday night.

The country singer lead the glamour set at the annual ceremony, ensuring if she did run into former lover Harry Styles that she would at least look her best for the occasion.

Could have been an awkward red carpet moment: Harry Styles seemed pensive as she arrived after Taylor, while his One Direction bandmates fooled around for the cameras

Taylor stood out on the red carpet, showing off her enviably slender legs in a plunging gold gown.

She sparkled in the ensemble, which flattered her slim physique, while she finished off her look with complimentary gold heels.

And it was a good job she looked so on form as she then had to sit through the ceremony watching Styles and his band perform, before then picking up the award for Best International Group.

Strike a pose: Just in case Harry was in eye shot Taylor smouldered as much as she did for the waiting cameras

Reunion time? Harry and Taylor arrived separately to the event but were rumoured to be using the event to rekindle their romance

Waving to the crowd: Taylor beamed as she stretched her hand forward to greet fans

The boys showed up at the event wearing matching ensembles in co-ordinating black and brown.

And while the boys seemed in a playful mood, with Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik clowning around on the carpet, Harry seemed pensive on entry.

Although he put in a stellar performance, knowing his ex would be there to see him in all his glory.

But he was made victorious as the boys picked up one of the biggest awards of the night.

Co-ordinating: The One Direction boys wore mismatching brown and black outfits as they showed up at the event

Fashion winner: It may have been Harry who walked away with the best international band trophy, but Taylor wasn’t upstaged on the red carpet

Cheer up Harry: He looked noticeably more chilled than the rest of his bandmates who looked joyous as thy faced the cameras and fans

In it to win it: Styles quickly tweeted thanking everyone for the title as soon as they walked back off stage

Tweeting after taking to the stage, Styles wrote: ‘Thank you so much to @NRJhitmusiconly and our fans for the award!! See you later .xx.’

She completed her style with her hair worn down and straight, with plenty of lip gloss perfecting her pout.

Leading up to the event there has been much speculation that Styles and Swift are planning a big reunion after reportedly holding crisis talks to salvage their relationship in London.

And while Taylor has been spotted living it up in Cannes in the lead up to the bash, Styles was seen arriving in the region with his bandmates on Saturday morning looking somewhat glum.

Glimmering: She mingled with the rest of the A-list stars and French celebrities a she arrived solo on the red carpet

Glamorous night: Alicia Keys was also in attendance, showing off her style in a floorlength black gown with revealing cut out detailing

Date night: She was joined by husband Swizz Beatz as they took a night off from son Egypt

Flashing the flesh: Alicia’s glowing skin was on show for all to see as she ensured all sides were captured by the photographers

Although they had plenty of distraction at the event as a whole host of other celebrities were in attendance to take their minds off each other.

It was Alicia Keys who also stunned on the red carpet as she showed off her style in a revealing black cut out gown.

And she was clearly content getting a night off from mummy duties as she brought husband Swizz Beatz along.

Ladies’ night: Carly Rae Jepsen went for a Gothic style dress while Emeli also made an effort for the evening

Striking: Nolwenn Leroy looked amazing in her all black ensemble as she sported dark red lips

Gangnam style! Psy made his usual flamboyant entrance as he pranced around entertaining the crowds

While she stunned in the glamorous frock and intricate up ‘do, Swizz went for a dapper look in a navy blue suit and trilby hat.

They were joined by French reality star Ayem Nour, who claimed in December she had enjoyed a fling with singer Chris Brown when he visited Paris.

She stood out in a white halterneck dress, while French model Marie Ange-Casta was pretty in pink in her bright frock.
